Olympus Motor Trimmers is one of Melbourne's most highly respected providers of trimming, upholstering and restoration services to the motor industry. A family tradition of over fifty years is reflected in flawless craftsmanship, expert restoration skills, a respect for the skills of the original craftsmen, and an understanding of the needs of clients, whether seeking repairs to seats or soft tops, or complete restoration.

With a world wide increase of interest in the restoration and preservation of classic cars, Olympus is able to look back on a long tradition of restoring to original specification. We can provide world class award winning restoration services which will meet the most demanding standards.

Times have changed. Moulded interior fittings have taken the place of stitched door trims, bowed headlinings, detailed trim work on dashboards. At least for most cars built these days. And there are good reasons for this.

There are also good reasons to remember all the skills that the old ways required. Not only because these skills and understandings inform all aspects of motor trimming - from repairs to seats and fittings of cars and trucks in everyday use - but because the new ways will never really replace the old. Part of the fascination in restoring vintage, veteran, and classic vehicles - and those which for some reason simply demand your interest - lies in preserving the work of those who built cars who we now call craftsmen.

In those days, you just did the work. Today, we lovingly reproduce the work of such craftsmen. At Olympus, we use the old skills, and we understand the old techniques. An old headlining, discoloured and decaying, to us is a rich resource. Something which shows us how to bring it back to life. Maybe not exactly as it was. But as close as it is possible to get. The old skills, the old ways, are worth preserving.
